The Annual General Meeting was held at the clubhouse on Friday 1st December with 31 members in attendance.
Deirdre Bush, Club Accountant, presented her report on the club's financial situation for 2018 concluding that the club had made significant improvements by cutting costs to the overall operation of the club.
The Chairman, Gavin Hutson, paid tribute to the many volunteers at the club whose work is the lifeblood of Sleaford Cricket Club. He thanked those who were stepping down from positions. He encouraged more members to step up and help with more hands making light work. Gavin also paid tribute to out going President, Chris Travers, for his service over the past few years.
Chris Travers introduced Colin White (who was later voted in as President) who said a few words that he was excited to take on the role for a second time. He also spoke with positivity regarding the fantastic number of volunteers the club has. He hoped to see the club grow even further over the next year.
There was little change to the Election of Officers for 2018. Colin White was elected President taking over from Chris Travers, Nick Goacher stepped down as Head of Senior Cricket and will be replaced by Phil Sneath. Julie Bean and Tom Brooke were co-opted onto the Management Committee with a remit of working on Social/Fundraising events.
Andy Hibberd confirmed the club has received its ClubMark accreditation for the next 3 years. The meeting ended with the announcement that Overseas Professional signing, Brent Arnel, has been signed.
Thank you to all those who were in attendance. Date of next AGM 30th November 2018 starting at 7pm.
